The data illustrate the total percentage of volunteers in six different organisations in 2008 and 2014. In general, the report witnessed changes across the recorded years, with half of the six associations decreased, such as educational, art, and others, while the remaining categories: environmental, sport, and health care, increased.
Educational groups were the leading figure in 2008, starting with 24%, which then fell at 7% to 17% in 2014. Moreover, art and other groups experienced a similar pattern with a decrease by 6%, with art dropping from 18% in 2008 to 12% in 2014, whereas others from 15% to 9%.
At the same time, environmental organisations grew by 8%, with the initial figure of 21% in 2008 and a final score of 29% in 2014, marking it the most popular in 2014. Followed by sports communities, which rose by 10%, from 15% in 2008 to 25% in 2014. making it the second-highest figure in 2014. Finally, health care associations had the slightest growth, with just 1%, remaining the lowest progress among the six organisations.
