In general, the data for visitors to museums and galleries was the highest, while the opposite was true for that to wildlife parks and zoos were the lowest.
As can be seen from the chart, the proportion of people visiting the museum experienced a significant rise to exactly 42% in 1991. It was followed by that of people going to wildlife parks and zoos at precisely 8% in the same year. Also, the figure for the former was the most popular place attraction in Britain.
In terms of the remaining figures, the year 1991 witnessed considerable growth in the total of visitors to theme parks to around 35%. Furthermore, the percentage of people going to historic houses and monuments accounted for roughly 15% and was lower than that to theme parks by 20%.
