The chart illustrates the proportion of employment and education rates in addition to the average income in eight European countries in 2015 with additional age information.
Overall, in these eight countries, the employment rates are not dramatically different from each other. The income statistics are related to both employment and education rates.
The highest employment rate was in Norway with 74.8% and also Norwegian people had the highest income with 41.483€. Another Scandinavian country Latvia, had 68% of employees however their income was one of the lowest with 5.828€. 66% of Luxembourg
the population was working and their mean income was 34.320€. Bulgaria and Portugal had close rates of around 63.5% of employees, even though their income levels had slight differences they were still one of the lowest-income countries with 3.332€ and 8.435€. Lastly, half of the Greek population was working and their income was 7.520 on average.
On the other hand, education rates differed between countries. In both Luxembourg, Norway and the UK around 40% of the population were studying in higher education. Latvia, Austria and Greece had around 30% studying rate. Less than a quarter of the population study in Portugal.
