The bar chart displays the proportion of men and women working in seven different sectors throughout the UK in 2007.

Overall, it is evident that the percentage of working women is higher than the working men in the given time period.

In 2007, around 45% of males chose advertising as their profession, whereas the percentage of females in the same occupation was still 10% higher. The proportion of males in construction and females in teaching was exactly identical, that was 90%. Similarly, the percentage of males in teaching and females in construction was 10%. In addition, above 80% of girls opted therapist as the working field, but in the same field the percentage of male therapists was nearly 20%.

According to the bar chart, journalism was the only area where the identical number of men and women were working, that was 50%. Over 60% male held the post scientists as their job, whereas 20% fewer female used scientists as their occupation. In the field of law, the percentage of female and male was 55% and 45% respectively.
