The bar chart shows the distribution of executives by gender in six different types of profession across the UK in 2007.
Generally speaking, the only field with equal distribution of workers was journalism, which stood at 50% of both genders. Furthermore, as many female executives worked in teaching, as many as male executives worked in construction, and vice-versa.
Regarding male executives, the least interesting fields of work were therapy and teaching, standing at 18% and 10%, respectively. 60% of male executives worked as scientists, 55% worked in law, and 45% worked in advertising.
Looking specifically at female executives, 82% worked in therapy, 55% in advertising, and 45% in law. The second least favourite field of work for women was science which stood at 40%
