The line graph illustrates the average monthly reluctance in the prices of Copper, Nickel and Zinc in 2014. Overall, all the prices of three metals decreased during the period, however Nickel saw the most dramatic change in price.
In January, Nickel was the highest with 6%, but ended up being the lowest with 1%. Zinc was the lowest in the beginning, then became the highest in December at 2%. Copper was the metal that had the most stable price during recorded time.
In the first two months, Nickel’s price declined significantly from 6% to 1%, while Copper’s figure went down from 2% to 0.5%. In the same period, only Zinc’s price increased from 1% to 3% then ended up at 2% in March. In the next 2 months, all metal saw a slight decline. In June, the prices of 3 metals reached the lowest point, when Nikel’s figure was just -3%. In July, there was a modest rise, and the prices kept unchanged until September. In the last 3 months, the prices went up again until the last month of the year, except Nikel which still kept the same price from November to December.
