The most significant facts to emerge from the graph are that butter and margarine experienceD significant fall. Low fat and reduced spreads, WHICH appeared later, had a high decrease.

Butter was the most popular spreads, which reached a high OF 160 grams. But than we saw dramatic drop from 1986 to the end of period. Margarine fluctuated during few years, starting with 90 grams. Comparing to other two spreads it remained relatively stable, though it also saw a gradual decrease and finished with 40 grams at the end of the period.

The most notable change was seen in low-fat and reduced spreads. They appeared in 1996, increased dramatically in the first 5 years to 80 grams and ended at 70.
