The chart illustrates the total album sales of different artists in US in 2020. In general, BTS hit the highest point in the chart and their streams on Youtube also had a significant margin comparing to others.
In the bar chart, artist Lil Nas X received the lowest sales with 7600 albums, 21 savage and Taylor Swift’s respectively higher than that of Lil Nas X; 1000 and 100,000 albums. Ariana Grande’s albums were twice as much as the Taylor Swift’s ones. Billie Eilish with 465,000 albums sold surpassed Jonas Brothers by 58,000. BTS ranking first with 575,000 sales. BTS overpowered the other artists and being favored by the Americans.
The success in the album sales of BTS contributed to the overall streams. In March 2020, almost 236 millions Youtube was the platform that received the most streams worldwide. Spotify consequently gained 10.98 billions streams, which placed it second in the chart. The two applications, Apple Music and Spotify had fewer than 236 billions streams with 0.23B and 0.06 billions in order.
