The given bar chart depicts the comparison of GDP percentages in terms of IT and Service industry of the UK between 1992 and 2000.
Overall, it is evident that both categorizes experienced upward trend throughout the period, and both trends had some fluctuations. Although at the beginning of the period, IT industries rates were considerably lower, end of the period this indicator experienced a whopping increase.
Evidently, in 1992, IT industry’s rate was (just above 6%), being higher than Service industry’s rate by approximately 3.9%. Then, it rose to almost 8.1% in 1994. Nevertheless, percentage of IT industry saw a dip with just below 8% in 1996 after which there was a sharp increase about 12%, so by 2000 the number had reached just over 15% respectively.
Proportion of Service industry commenced with about 4% in 1992, and it went up significantly in 1994 and reached nearly 6.3%, which was 2% below from IT indusrty. In the following years, figures followed similar patterns, however, in 1998, it fell below about 7.7%. Moreover, in 2000, Service industry rate saw a moderate increase with 8.2% accordingly.
