The graph displays how fast the internet is in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane in megabytes per second in the years 2005 and 2015. The other pie chart illustrate the genre of network access Australian citizens had in 2010.
Overall, in the line graph, it is clear that Sydney had the highest network speed than the rest of the Australian cities in both years. The internet speed of all of the five cities had increased in 2015, however, Melbourne network speed had increased third it’s size in 2015, making it the most significant improvement than the rest. Furthermore, in the pie chart, we can see that Broadband was the main network connection Australian people had in 2010.
In the line graph at the year 2005, Sydney had the internet rate of MPS 13, which was the highest number in the five Australain cities, however, it only gained about one MBPS after 10 years, with it’s peak at 14 MBPS. While Melbourne was the lowest in 2005 at about 2 MPS, it signifcantly increased by three times in 2015 with the rate of 6 MBPS. The other three cities had a slight improvement between the ten years, with Perth at the rate of approximately 4 MBPS in 2005, and risen to about only 5 MBPS in 2015. Underneath Perth is Adelaide and Brisbane, both of these cities were low in the two years. In 2010 Adelaide was just above 3 MBPS and below it is Brisbane with just 2 MBPS, and in 2015 they both had a mere improvement with only gaining roughly half to one MBPS.
In the pie chart, Broadband was the primary type of internet connection Australian people had in 2010, with more than a half percent. The second main network access is Mobile with just about 35%. While, the two lowest type of internet access is Dial up with only 1.48%, leaving less than 1 percent for none.
