The line graph illustrates how much energy was consumed in five countries between 2000 and 2004.
Overall, Country A consumed the most electricity for the first two years; however, Country B overtook it during the final period. While Countries B, C, and D witnessed an upward trend throughout the years, Country A’s electricity consumption declined gradually, and that of Country E showed just little changes.
In 2000, Country A used 4000 kWh, securing the top position among the five nations. Trailing closely behind was the energy consumption of Country B at 3700 kWh, 1200 kWh higher than that of Country D and 1700 kWh higher than the figure for Country C. This was nearly double the usage of Country E, which stood at exactly 1000 kWh, occupying the lowest position.
From then on, Country A’s electricity consumption experienced a sharp decline, reaching roughly 3200 kWh in 2004. In contrast, energy utilization in Country B rose steadily from about 3700 kWh to 4200 kWh, becoming the leading category by the end of the period. Similarly, it is recorded that more electricity, specifically 2200 kWh and 2700 kWh, was consumed by citizens in country C and D respectively, which was slightly greater than the figures in 2000. Finally, the consumption of Country E fluctuated around 1000 kWh during the entire period.
