Overall, it can be seen that the most relevant difference by estimation from actual costs is higher in the last two events: Beijing 2008 and London 2012. In the other editions, values not presenting significantly changes.
In detail, regarding to Beijing 2008, the initial estimate cost is about 80-90 billions dollars versus the actual cost of over 200 billions. As regards London 2012 the initial estimate cost is little less than 50 billions dollars compared to 200 billions.
On the other hand, the difference between the values for Montreal 1975, Moscow 1980 Los Angeles 1984, Seoul 1988 is considerably less impactful. Atlanta 1996 and Sidney 2000 present a similar trend with an initial estimate of approximately 5 billions dollars againts a real expense of around 20-25 billions dollars.
