Turning to the remaining statistics, the number of smokers in Vietnam surged from 100 thousand in 2000 to just over 120 thousand in 2003. After that, this figure of smokers declined sharply to approximately 40 thousand at the conclusion of the given timespan. Concurrently, Cambodia also saw a drop during the period from around 142 thousand in 2000 to about 120 thousand smokers in 2007.
