Overall, it is true that the illustration provides the development of the percentage of the different households. CD player was widely used at the beginning and it demonstrated the highest proportion among other kinds of technology throughout the period, whereas internet stood at the bottom before it rose its percentage of households at the end of the period.
In 1997, the percentage of telephone, internet and DVD player usage stood at the below of 30%, showing 20%, 10% and 27% respectively. After one year, the percentage of the DVD player declined to 15% and the percentage of internet increased slightly to 20% before both of them subsequently climbed to 30% in 2000. In terms of telephone usage, it remained unchanged at 20% in 1998 before it sharply rose by 20% after two years. In the final year, in 2001, the percentage of the internet increased enormously to 60% while the percentage of the DVD player grew to 50% respectively. However the proportion of the telephone had a significant increase to around 76%. At the beginning of the period,the proportion of the CD player demonstrated 60% before it had a slight rise to 70% in 1998. After this increase, figure remained constant in 1999 and then reached a peak at 80% among other households in 2001. When it comes to computer, the proportion showed 60% in 1997. The figure increased steadily over the period, representing 75% in 2000 and 70% in 2001.
