The provided line chart illustrates the number of users of landlines and mobile phones per 100 inhabitants in Africa from 1994 to 2004. Overall, the mobile phone users had rose rapidly compare with the subscribers of telephone which only grew slightly between 1994 to 2004.
It is clear that, there were around 1,70 telephone subscribers which was highest in1994 as only 6 people used mobile. Until 1997, the growth rate of both landline and mobile subscribers were relatively same that was slow and steady reaching around 200 and 30 users respectively. Furthermore, where telephone saw same rate of increament in the number of users with around 250 inhabitants in 1999 but people using mobile phones rose a little more noticeably compared to previous years reaching 100 numbers.
In addition, the subscribers of telephone rose at the atmost same speed as before and reached to 310 numbers in the year 2004 whereas, mobile phone increased its user more rapidly and reached 600 numbers in 2003. After that, the subscribers of mobile rose even more steeply to reach around 880 numbers in 2004.
