Overall, it is clear from the graph that the most popular drug among school children is marijuana. In addition that, the percentage of boys consuming drugs is greater than girls in almost every categories.
Moving into the details, about 4% of boys take amphetamines, cocaine, and solvent each. Marijuana or hashish tops among the other drugs in popularity among boys with 33%, and the drugs heroin, opium or morphine use is second on the list with 7%. In contrast to others, the least taken drugs LSD and the use of medical drugs.
In case of the school girls, the proportion and pattern is almost similar to that of boys. Hashish, as similar to boys, is the most famous one for girls as 28% of them have it. Heroin, opium or morphine is on the second with 5% consumers followed by cocaine (4%) and solvents (3%). Lastly, the least popular ones were amphetamines (2%), LSD (1%), and the use of medical drugs for enjoyment (1%).
