The line graph gives information on the percentage of people who received news from 4 different sources between 1995 and 2025.
Overall, there were steady declines and some fluctuations in the percentage of users who accessed news from the sources, namely TV, radio and newspaper, whereas the figure for internet increased markedly. It is also evident that the propotion of people obtained news throughout the internet showed the most significant change over the time frame to take the lead by the end, while other remaining initially dominant figures ended up with the least percentages.
In 1995, ‘television’ category ranked first, but after dropping from 70% in 1995 to 65% in 2000, that figure witnessed some fluctuations and steady decline over the next 25 years experiencing a decrease of 15% in 2025. Similarly, the figures for Radio and newspaper showed nearly the same upward trend, the initial percentage of users from these sources stood at around 55% in 1995. After a slight decline to 40%, both categories dipped again decreasing a low of just under 30% in the final year.
In contarst, the other data provider ” Internet” showed the reversed pattern of change. While showing a slight increase from just 0% under 1% in 2000, yhe figure for the people found out news on the internet soared to reach a peak of 55% in the next decades , welcoming the highest number of users of the four news resources.
