The line graph illustrates the changes in the percentage of people who got news from different sources – TV, Radio, Newspaper, and Internet- over a 30-year period.
Overall, TV was the most popular source at the beginning, but its use declined over the period. In contrast, although the internet was the least source of news inittialy, it started to become the dominant source over the period. Notabely, both of radio and newspaper had a downward trend.
In 1995, nearly 80%of people got information from tv which was the main source, but its use declined by just 22% despite a brief increase to 60%. After this point, the percentage of people who got news from tv fell gradually, reaching 50% at the end of the period, while people had no used the internet inittialy. The figure for the internet had overtaken the tv by the end of the period, reaching about 55%.
Regarding a downward trend, both radio and newspaper experienced a steady decline in the proportion of people who accessed news over the period. These figures decresed gradually from almost 54% and 52% in 1995 to near 30% and 28% by 2025, respectively.
