The line graph compares the use of different methods to get news from 1995 to 2025.
Overall, the internet is expected to be the dominant news source in the future. It is also clear that people using traditional ways to access news are expected to make up only small percentages.
In 1995, TV was the most common source of news, with nearly 70% of people using it. Similarly, the percentages of people who used newspapers and radio to access news accounted for approximately 50% each. Surprisingly, access to news was not available through the internet, eliminating the internet from the list of news sources.
With the advent of the internet, the usage of other methods of obtaining news began to decline significantly. While the percentage of internet users has experienced a noticeable increase by the end of the period, the use of TV, radio, and newspapers is predicted to decline in popularity, showing 60%, 22%, and about 30%, respectively. Meanwhile, projections indicate that more than half of the total audience (55%) will access news via the internet, making it the most popular source of news.
