The given line graph demonstrates the proportion of tourists to Scotland who visited different attractions from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that the rate of aquariums and festivals showed a downward trend. In contrast, the zoo and castle also witnessed a significant rise.
Regarding the zoo and the castle, the percentage of those places started at 10% and 23%, respectively. The castle had dramatically climbed and peaked in 1995 at 45% but later there was a sharp decrease and end of the period with 34% in 2010. Although it also showed an upward trend, zoos illustrate an unusually fluctuating from 1980 to 2000 before considerable growth and reached 20% in 2010 ranked second at the end of the period.
Starting with the impressive numbers the aquarium and the festival showed a quite clear decrease compared to the beginning. The aquarium received a lot of attention from tourists from 1980 to 1985 but after that, there was a drop in return to the original figures and hit the lowest point with 7% in 2010. Started with the highest number of about 31% at the beginning but the festival was not popular with tourists in the following years. That steady decline caused the festival to end the survey in third place.
