The chart shows the percentage of women and men who passed their driving test in one Asian country in the years 198.
It is obvious that the total amount of women who passed is significantly higher than the number of men, no matter which time period you look at. The percentage of women has never dropped under 45 percent, while the percentage of men has never passed 50 percent. You can see a big increase in the numbers between 1990 and 2000, causing the year 2000 to be the year with the highest percentage of people who passed their driving test, with both women and men gaining over 10% in the last years. As for the following ten years, the women’s numbers declined a bit, while the percentage of men stayed the same. The year with the lowest passing rate is 1980, where both women and men didn’t pass the 50 percent mark.
All in all, women passing their driving test seems to be much more common than men doing so, which might be surprising to some people considering the stereotype of women being bad at driving.
