The bar chart above illustrates the renewable energy supply in Australia, Sweden, Iceland and Turkey in three different years, 1997, 2000, and 2010.

To begin with, Iceland experienced around 10% of increase during the three-year comparison, remaining as the top nation employing sustainable resources for energy. This country increased its usage from around 47% in 1997 to 70% in 2010. Moreover, on average, between 30% and 40% of renewable energy had been used in Turkey. Lastly, there were less than 10% of utilising could be observed both in Australia and Sewden, being the bottom among other countries.

In terms of general trend, Iceland and Sweden had increasing focus on this engagement while the other two performed moderately. Nevertheless, both Australia and Turkey witnessed a decline the end of the timeframe (in 2010).

Overall, it is evident that Iceland is in the leading role throughout the timeframe while Sweden and Australia stayed much behind.
