The unemployment rate in rural Australia started with a massive rate of 6.5%, which was the maximum for the year. The curve significantly drops to just above 4.5% till the second quarter of the year. From there the graph undergos ups and downs until it reaches the 5% rate in the fourth quarter.
On the other hand, the minimum unemployment rate of approximatly 2.2% was seen by urban areas of the Australia in the first quater of 2012. The line graph started to rise and reached 4% in the second quarter, before falling back to 2.1% by the end of second quarter. The maximum unemployment rate for the urban areas was noted at the end of the fourth quarter of the year 2012.
In summary, the maximum unemployment rate in Australia was seen by the rural areas at the starting of first quarter and the minimum rate was noted in the urban areas at the same time.
