Overall, all categories witnessed an upward trend, except for Yellow Taxi, whose figure slightly dropped. Additionally, the usage of Uber surpassed that of Yellow Taxi to come the highest figure after July 17th.
Being the highest figures over the first few years, the number of trips per day of Yellow Taxi started at more than 400,000 in January 15th, then fluctuacted considerably throughout the period. After 17th of July, Yellow Taxi’s usage was surpassed by that of Uber, at 300,000 trips.
Regarding figures with increases, although fluctuations had been witnessed over the period, both remained categories experienced a clear pattern. Lyft, which has the fewest number of customers with the starting point at 0, then witnessed small fluctuation and slightly climbed to 100,000 clients, which still be the least used shared ride. Similar changes, but to a greater extent, can be seen in the figure for Uber, which rose significantly by more than 400,000.
