The bar chart illustrates the volume of water percentage-wise of six different cities in Australia in October 2009 and 2010.
It can be seen that the water levels in these cities fluctuated over the period surveyed, with the exception of the data in Brisbane. In addition, Canberra was the only city to report the water level reaching the maximum.
Regarding the chart, in October 2009, the water levels in Canberra and Sydney were recorded at nearly 80%., Meanwhile, the figures for Darwin and Perth were around above 40%, double the datum for Melbourne. Brisbane was the only city surveyed to report the same water levels over the period examined, exactly at 60% each.
In October 2010, however, there were some fluctuations. Particularly, the datum for Melbourne doubled, reaching 40%; meanwhile, the figure for Perth increased by over 25%. Canberra witnessed a significant rise in its water level, reaching 100% at the end of the period, while Sydney reported a slight increase in its datum. Despite such rising trends, the water volume in Darwin decreased by half, ending at just over 20%.
