According to the pie chart, in 2004, vegetables and fruits accounted for the highest water with 46% and 28% respectively. They were also the chief income producers with nearly 33% and 42%. While 12% of water was used in the cultivation of cereal which had generated roughly 13% of income in Australia.
On the other hand, dairy made use of 8% in total water used, and it contributed the same amount to the economic benefits. Both livestock and rice utilized 3% of water, so, they generated minimal income when the percentage of income from livestock made up 3% and only 1% from rice.
