Overall, it is clear from both charts that men who are working full time were the majority of employed in 1988 and 2012. The minority in both years are men working on part time jobs.
To begin with, in 1988 men with a full time job made up 53%, while woman with a full time job accounted for 19%. In 2012 the figure of male workers dropped on 6%, even though the number of the increased from 12, 539 to 13,794. On the other hand, the number of female workers with full time job increased on 7% in 24 years, making uo from 4, 484 to 7, 695.
With regards to the workers in the UK with a part-time job, the figure of women working part time decreased a little on 2%, even though their number increased slightly. Lastly, men with a part time employment made up 6% in 1988, which is 1550 in numbers. The figure grew to 7% and 2, 131 in numbers in 2012.
