In general, among the 5 age groups surveyed, UK tourist in 35-54 age range mainly accounted for the most in the age distribution, while there was a lots dramatically changes throughout 20 years.
Firstly, it can be clearly observed that the proportion of UK people who went to Spain in 35-54 years old for a visit was about 50%, accounted for a half of the chart. Suprisingly, 35-54 age groups still consistently predominant in 2003, although the rate dropped significantly by 15%, from 50% to 35%. A similar change, but a lesser extent can be see clearly in 25-34 age group. The rate of this group declined almost a half, from 20% to 12%.
Secondly, other groups all experienced a downward trend. For example, visitors from 0-15 slightly rose to from 10% in 1983 to 12% in 2003. Besides, two remaining age ranges had a same change. Both figure of 16-24 and 55+ group was 4% and 16% in 1983, respectively before there was a upward trend by approximately gained 10% in 2003, compared to 20 years ago.
