At the beginning of the period, the purpose of learning contributed the second highest, at 15%, which was more than 5% for the reading purpose. At the end of the period, reading and learning plunged to 5% and 2% respectively. In the initial year, the figure for gathering information accounted for 10%, and it was more than twofold in 2000.
Over the period, people tended to visit libraries for borrowing and returning books, which was recorded at 65% in 19 9 1 and 55% in 2000. Moreover, in 2000, visitors who were interested in videos took up just under 20%.
