The bar graph compares four various products in terms of their production in the top three countries in the year 2012.
Overall, (being always among the top three producers in all the four categories), the EU dominated in milk and cheese production, while India and China were predominant producers of butter and milk powder respectively. Notably, milk had the highest production rates among the other categories in question.
Regarding milk, the EU produced it the most at 142,970 MT – by far the highest figure. The second top producer, India, (127,000) produced about 15 MT less milk than the EU but 30 MT more than the US in the third place with 90,038 MT.
Moving on to cheese and butter, they were produced in similar amounts, and their highest figures were almost the same with respective 7,120 MT (the EU) and 7500 MT (India). In the second place, the US produced almost 5000MT cheese, but its butter production took the third place at 810 MT. In addition, Cheese was produced in the lowest quantity in Brazil at 700 MT, which was also the lowest production rate among the dairy products listed.
Milk powder was generally produced in the lowest quantities. China and New Zealand produced the highest amounts of this product (1200 MT and 1100 MT respectively), while the EU took the bottom-most position with 770 MT of it.
