Both charts below depict the number of people, who travel abroad and travel in the UK and the popularity of countries that British chose for a trip: Turkey, Greece, USA, Spain, France. In general, it is clear that the quantity of citizens decided to travel abroad, especially they were attracted by France.
In early 1979, there was no a distinct difference – only about 2 million people apart. Although the number of residents travel at home steadily increase, there was a dramatically rise with people, who travel abroad in the mid 1984; rose from 20 to reached a peak at nearly 60 million.
