The bar chart shows proportion of workplace injuries among different age groups in one particular country in 2018. Overall, the youngest and the oldest age group of people experienced the highest rate of injuries while the reverse was true for middle-age groups. Notably, Mining and construction industry was the most dangerous industry among all.
In education and health, the most injured group is the oldest age group of people with 40% while the least was in middle-age groups (25-34.) The second ranked category with 30% of injured people is the youth and with slightly lower percentage around 35-49 years old people. With slight differences Leisure and hospitality industry had also almost the same results. In this industry the highest percentage of injuries happened with the elderly people while the lowest in youth category around 15%.
In manufacturing industry 35% of injured employees were people aged between 35 and 49. Two oldest age groups had the same proportion of injuries in this sector. In Mining and construction again the dominant category was the youth and the oldest people while other categories were significantly lower proportion of injuries.
