The charts compare the life expectancy levels in four different countries and rise in life expectancy in these same countries.
Overall, Japan was the highest in life expectancy while the reverse was true for Indonesia. By contrast, Indonesia experienced the greatest growth in life expectancy, whereas the United States saw the smallest improvement.
In terms of life expectancy, Japan led with the average life longevity of 82.7 years, followed by Korea representing the figure of 79.2. The United States ranked third at 77.2 years, making a disparity of 7 years with Indonesia which represents 70.9 years of life span.
The table reveals the contrasting trend in life expectancy growth. Indonesia showed the most noticeable increase in life expectancy, rising by 14.1 years. Korea underwent a considerable increase at 9.3 years while there was a modest rise to 5.1 in the life duration in Japan’s total population. The U.S recorded the smallest growth with at only 3.2 years.
