The pie chart below illustrates the data on the ages of the people who live in Yemen and Italy in 2020 and predicts it for 2050.
It is clear from the picture that the number of older people whose age is above 60 years is more in Yemen in each year, meanwhile in Italy the least percentage of people is a group of 0-14 years old kids and adolescents in both years.
In 2000, the proportion of the group where were children and teenagers and the group where were people from 15 to 59 years were almost the same. The former group was 50.1% and the latter was 46.3%. In contrast, the percentage of 60+ years was just 3.6%. By 2050, it is predicted that the rate of 0-14 years group will decrease to 37% and the amount 60+ and 15-59 years age groups will increase by reaching 5.7% and 57.3% respectively.
In Italy, in the beginning of the century, the proportion 15-59 years is the most among each charts. It reaches almost 62%. Meanwhile, the rate of older people after 60 years is 24.1%. Children accounted for the lowest percentage at 14.3% in 2000. By 2050, it is predicted to be even less by reaching 11.5%. The rate of 15-59 years old people also will decrease at 46.2%. The figure of people above 60 years will be increased and reach its zenith being 42.3%.
