The pie chart compares 4 different types of transportation in terms of their popularity changed in the city of cambridge in 2008 and 2018.
From an overall perspective, it is clear that cycling and walking gained more popularity, while the use of cars and buses witnessed a significant decline throughout the given time period.
To start with 2008 year, cars were the most preferred mode of transport compared to other transportations accounting for 42% of the total. Buses followed closely with 30%, while bicycle accounted for a smaller proportion at 17% whereas walking made up the least population at only 11%.
By 2018, bicycle surpassed cars increasing to 30% and reached the first place. As a result, cars lost its popularity decreasing to just 20%. Walking rose significantly to 25%, while popularity of buses fell sharply to 25%, however still becoming the second most popular type of transport in 2018.
