The charts provide information about family expenditure in three specific countries, that are Slovenia, Croatia and Austria, in 2019. Overall, most of the budget is destined to food in both Slovenian, Croatian and Austrian households.
First, the Slovenian family allotment of funds particularly resembles the Croatian one. They both allocate most of resources to grocery’s shopping and house maintenance, that is 30% or thereabouts each of the budget. Furthermore, Austrian families also designate a significant quantity of money to food’s expenses, reaching 40% of the budget.
On the other hand, Austrian families invest less in house maintenance than Slovenian and Croatian families do. Indeed, they only destine to it 20% of the overall expenditure. However, Austrian households need to save a substantial amount of money for transportation services, in particular they allocate to it 35% of the budget, while conversely, Slovenian and Croatian families spend less for this service, that is 20% and 25%, respectively.
