The pie charts disclose the differences in reasons from which students gained motivation to choose a college or university between 1985 and 2017.

Overall, it is evident that the most popular reason to choose a certain university was suitable degree cources in both years from 1985 to 2007.

First of all, in 1985, suitable degree cources was chiefly chosen among students as it accounted for 35% in a particular university, after which it increased slightly to 37% in 2007. If we look at the quality of teaching in a college or university which saw an upward trend noticeably from 15% to 18% throughout the period. Furthermore, the proximky to parerral home rose significantly from 10% to 22% in twenty-two-year period.

In the following decades, the suitable degree cources continually played the major role. However, an opposite trend was showed in the category of quality of resources for it experienced a steady decline from 21% to 17% between 1985 and 2007. Moreover, the amount of good sports and social activities decresed remarkably from 19% to 6% throught the next two decades.
