Overall, in 1985 the main reason were suitable degree courses and quality of resources, while in 2007 the major reasons were suitable degree courses and proximity to parental home. In contrast, the less popular reasons in 1985 were quality of teaching and proximity to parental home, while in 2007 the less preferable causes were quality of resourses and good sports and social activities.
Initially, the proportion for suitable degree courses compromised just over a third (35 %) and quality of resources accounted for more than a fifth (21%) in 1985. In comparison with 2007, suitable degree courses remained almost the same (37%), whereas proximity to parental home became the second popular reason (almost a quarter of – 22%).
Quality of teaching accounted for under than a fifth (15%), while proximity to parental zone constituted one tenth (10 %). The less popular causes in 2007 were quality of resources (17%) and good sports and social activities accounted for an insignificant minority (6%). However, good sports and social activities comprised roughly under one fifth (19%) in 1985, while quality of teaching accounted for the nearly same proportion in 2007 (18%).
