The pie charts illustrate the changes in the proportion of energy produced from different resources in a country in 1985 and 2003. The charts show very different percentages.
In 1985, the highest resource percentage was oil at 52%. For natural gas, it is only 13%; coal is 8%; and Hydro is 4%. The other resource has very tiny percentage. In 2003, however, oil decreased sharply where it reached 39%. Natural gas and coal both increased, natural gas went up by 10% and coal 12%. Nuclear resource sharply went down, it went from 22% to 8%. Hydro stayed the same in both years and other resources it is now at 4%.
In conclusion, in both years oil was the most dominant resource in the chart, but in 2003 it decreased. Both natural gas and coal had increased in the year 2003. However, nuclear went down sharply. Hydro and other resources both stayed the same and didn’t change.
