Looking from an overall perpective, bathroom have the largest proportion in both years. In addition, kitchen increases significantly in 2008, whereas water used for the toilets and gardens declined over the period.
In 1998, bathroom accounted for the highest percentage of residential water consumption at 25%. Washing clothes was the second largest proportion of uses water, reperseting at 22%, followed by garden at 20%. Water consumption in toilet at 18%, while kitchen use the smallest share at 15%.
By 2008, bathroom water usage had risen slightly at 29%, remaining the biggest category. Kitchen usage experience a considerable to increases at 30%, becoming almost equal to bathroom. In contrast, usage of water in washing clothes fell moderately from 22% to 19%. Similarly, toilet usage decreased from 18% to 14%, while garden usage of water decrease sharply from 20% to 8%.
