Overall, it can be seen that most residential water used in bathroom, kitchen,washing clothes and garden , while the least water used for toilet.

Looking at the details, in 1988, the most water used for bathroom, accounting for a quarter of residential water. This figure rose to 29% in 2008, being one of the big consumers of water. Similar amount of water used for washing clothes and garden, accounting for 22% and 20% in 1988. However, these figures declined in 2008, showing 19% of water usage for washing clothes and only 8% water usage for garden.
