The pie charts depict information about spending of local government between 2010 and 2015 . Overall, what stands out the pie chart is that the biggest expense in both years was on education . Another interesting point is that the most noticeable change was on the amount of money spent on interest on borrowing ,which increase slightly over 5 years .
Looking at 2010, the expenditure on education was considerably more higher than spent on welfare , with the figures for 21% and 13% respectively. Spending on transport and culture and leisure were approximately equally popular with 1% difference . The least dominant category was others , with spending accounting for 1% , which was 17 times lower than that of spend on defence .
Regarding the changes in 2015, expenditure on welfare went up slightly from 8 % to 13 % . By contrast , money paid for defence dropped slightly by 3 % . Finally, financial resources devoted to other needs stayed at the same percentage in both years at 19%.
