Overall, it is clear that the main reasons why citizen in the US in 2009 was commute to and from work. Additionally, the cost of travel was the most concerning problem among the US people.
Regarding with the bar chart, in 2009 the figure for American leaving their home to commute work, which accounted for the highest figure with 49%. The opposite true for personal aims, which was less than a half of the percentage of other reasons. Consequently, the proportion of those travelling for shopping, social and recration felt significantly to roughlt 16% to 10%, threefold of that of visiting friends and relatives, which was the lowest for the five reasons.
