This pie charts shows proportion of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar average consumption in breakfast, dinner, lunch and snacks in the USA. Overconsuming of all these nutrients can be cause to diseases.
Overall, Sodium and Saturated fats consumes mostly in the dinner while added sugar mostly consumes in snacks time. In the breakfast all of these nutrients take minimum amount.
Regarding sodium, the majority is consumed at dinner (43%) followed by lunch which is 29%. Meanwhile breakfast and lunch account for equal amount of sodium intake (14%). A similar pattern of consumption pattern can be observed in saturated fat graph. Dinner contributes 37% and lunch contributes 26% of saturated fat intake. Least contribution to this category also showed by breakfast.
Added sugar consumption pattern is differ from the other two. Highest amount of added sugar people get from snacks, which is 42%. After that dinner responsible for added sugar intake(23%). Breakfast and lunch holds smallest share for this category which is 19% by lunch while 16% by breakfast.
