The given bar charts illustrate the amount of rainfall received each month in two cities in Brazil, namely Brasilia and Salvador, in 2016.
Overall, it is evident that in Brasilia, the highest amount of rainfall was recorded in December, while the lowest was observed in June. In contrast, Salvador experienced the most rainfall in May and the least in January.
In January 2016, Brasilia recorded nearly 230 mm of rainfall, which declined slightly to about 220 mm in February. In the following months, the amount of rainfall decreased dramatically, reaching a minimum of approximately 20 mm in June. After that, rainfall gradually increased, reaching around 120 mm in October and then rising significantly to approximately 220 mm in November. The figure eventually peaked at approximately 240 mm in December.
In contrast, Salvador showed an opposite trend. The city recorded its lowest precipitation in January, at around 130 mm. This figure then increased steadily, reaching a peak of approximately 350 mm in May. After this point, rainfall gradually decreased, dropping to about 160 mm by September. From October onwards, rainfall remained relatively stable and ended the year at roughly the same level as in September.
