The USA is known because of the high porcent of fat people, making this country one of the most unhealthy countries of the world. The main cause of this problem is because of the saturated fats and added sugars in typical meals such as breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
Firstly, let’s talk about the porcent of sodium in every meal, the average porcent of sodium in dinner is 43%, which makes it higher than the other meals, however, Lunch is also a high sodium meal with 29% and the two meals with least porcent are snacks and breakfast.
Secondly let’s continue with the saturated fat, Dinner again is the higher one with 37% although is a less porcent than the sodium ,lunch is really close with 26%, and the average porcent of snacks is 21% , this is because of the variety of junk snacks in the USA, there are a lot of fries, sweets and cookies, the meal with less with saturated fat is breakfast with 16%.
Finally, the average porcent of added sugar in every meal, in difference with the other ones, snacks is the one with the highest porcent of added sugar with 42%, in contrast with 19% of sugar in the lunch.
In conclusion, The USA obesity issue is because of the bad diet of the citizens, especially in dinner and snacks meals which have a high porcent of added sugars and sodium.
