The charts illustrate the proportion in typical meals classified in three different nutrients in USA, where over intake could lead to health problems.
Overall, sodium and saturated fat had a similarity on intake. Furthermore, dinner time takes a dominance in addition of those two nutrients. On the other hand, snacks take place as the highest in added sugar.
Regarding sodium and saturated fat, those nutrients were added most on dinner about 43% and 37%. Then on lunch time, sodium was almost similar as saturated fat about 29% and 26%. In addition, snacks and breakfast in sodium were obviously the same about 14%, while in saturated fat the use of snacks was 21%, 5% more intake than in breakfast.
On the other hand, in added sugar, snacks experienced the largest percentage among others about 42%. Then, added sugar on dinner takes place as the second highest intake about 23%. Further, added sugar on lunch was the lowest between other nutrients about 19%. Finally, added sugar on breakfast experienced as same as saturated fat about 16%.
