Additionally, all the nutrients are present almost uniformly in breakfasts. The amount of sodium present in typical dinner is about 43%, followed by lunch which holds 29% of sodium. Lastly, 14% of sodium is consumed during breakfast and snacks each. Similar to sodium, saturated fat is also mostly eaten during dinner, which is about 37%, and lunch is the second major contributor, which provides 26% of saturated fat. And the remaining portions are covered by snacks and breakfast.
The amount of added sugar is mostly present in snacks, with almost half of it coming from snacks. The other major portion of about 23% of added sugar is consumed during dinner and the rest 16%, and 19% of it comes from breakfast and lunch respectively.
