The line graphs depict the number of households in a country owned household appliances including washing machine, refrigerator, and vacuum cleaner from 1920 until 2019. Overall, it can be seen that the number of households owned refrigerator and vacuum cleaner gradually increased year by year and reached 100% at the end of period. Meanwhile, the percentages washing machine owned by families were experienced fluctuated trend over the period and only reached at around 70% by 2019.
At first, washing machine was the most popular household appliances among families. At the beginning of period the percentage of families those owned washing machine was the highest with started at 40 %, followed with vacuum cleaner at 30% and refrigerator was only 5%. Then, there was a gradual rise of the number of household owned washing machine with reached to 70% in 1960. However, in 1980 the number was experienced a slight decline to 65% and the figure was surpassed by the number of refrigerator and vacuum cleaner, but then the number was recovered again to just 75 % at the end of period. Meanwhile, the percentage of households owned vacuum cleaner was experienced a stable rise trend over period. The figure was started at a quite high which was at 30% and increased gradually over period and peaked to 100% in 1921.
On the other hand, despite started as a lowest number of household appliance owned by families in 1920 with just 5%, but refrigerator was experienced a stable rise over period until reached 100% in 1980 and the number remained at this point throughout the period.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there was a fluctuation trend experienced by the number of households owned washing machine, while figure for owning refrigerator and vacuum cleaner rose over period of given time.
