The table graph illustrates the time spent for leisure activities on men and women whereas the bar graph demonstrates the amount of times utilized for household activities in the UK in 2008.
Overall, it is apparent that the man utilized times spent for the majority of leisure activities was higher compared to the female except for reading, whereas almost household activities were accomplised by woman apart from repairing. TV,video, radio, with cooking and watching accounted for the highest time spent in both sectors.
Watching to the TV, video, and listening to the radio constituted the highest in terms of recreational activities, with the figure for the average times spent by man was 137 minutes, 19 minutes higher compared to woman. In contrast, the times spent for the exisiting activities by two mentioned genders was minimal, at 18 and 19 minutes for reading, whereas 15 and 11 minutes were spent on sports.
For the bar chart, the time man spent for cooking and washing was 25 minutes per day, lower by approximately 50 minutes in comparison with woman. A similar trend can be observed in both shopping with clothes washing and ironing, around 23 minutes were used by the man for the former and 10 minutes for the latter, approximately 10% and 15% lower compared to the woman. Conversely, man spent nearly 20 minutes for repairing, approximately doubled as that of woman.
